its crazy they were able to make tools with such primitive methods. Forging with a rock for a hammer and a bigger rock for an anvil... that is hard enough to do once in a while, but imagine doing that regularly... your joints would be toast within a few years. Sure the rock might absorb less heat, but you also have to work much longer and thus you would end up heating even more than you would with a proper steel hammer and anvil. besides, reheating the metal in the forge isn't that big a deal, and you can get a lot done with a single good heat if you are effecient.

Very informative and professionally expressed.

Pottery making is a world wide skill but the African pottery makers seem to be able to take it to another level items found around their households that you wouldn’t think you would be able to use it make pots. I’ve seen plastic tops off containers used to smooth the sides pots and corn cobs used to make decorative designs on pots. The level of these pot makers creativity is amazing. This is the fifth video I have watched. 😊
